DATE OF ENTRY ON DUTY : March 5, 2012
DATE OF COMPLETION : May 18, 2012
SALARY LEVEL : Starting salary 220 Dhs per day. Food, lodging and transportation are provided.

Position Summary :
Peace Corps Morocco is seeking 2 Homestay Program Coordinators for the Pre-Service Training of new volunteers. The Coordinator is responsible for the quality and success of the homestay program during the Pre-Service Training. The position is responsible for all aspects of homestay operations, in coordination with the Training unit and other Peace Corps units. The position requires extensive travel to ensure the highest levels of program quality.Job Description
- Provide friendly, prompt and efficient support to Host Families, Peace Corps Trainees, Volunteers and staff
- Carefully identify, screen, and select Host Families in coordination with Peace Corps staff
- Compile and organize Host Family questionnaires and information sheets
- Clearly explain the goals of the program to Host Families, local authorities, and Trainees
- Run orientation meetings for Host Families
- Introduce Trainees and other Peace Corps staff to Host Families
- Explain nutritional requirements and/or preferences to Host Families in a culturally appropriate way
- Visit Trainees and their Host Families throughout Pre-Service Training
- Schedule overnight stays with each family to implement program components and support Trainees
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of the program and provide feedback to Trainees and Host Families
- Assist in organizing the Welcome and Farewell parties for Host Families and their Trainees
- Transfer a Trainee from one family to another in coordination with Peace Corps staff
Send thank you letters to Host Families - Draft reports and make program recommendations for the next Pre-Service Training Live at the training sites and travel extensively throughout Pre-Service Training
Perform other related duties as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AND PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING :
- University degree or equivalent education and experience
- Fluency in Moroccan Arabic and a good command of English and French
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Ability to work independently and be part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with adults in a cross-cultural context (desired)
- Basic computer skills including word processing, excel, internet, and e-mail
- Fluency in Tamazight OR Tashelheet (desired)
- Moroccan Citizenship
